Katelyn Markham disappeared from her home in Fairfield in August 2011.
Katelyn Markham disappeared from her home in Fairfield in August of 2011. Then in April, 2013, skeletal remains were found in a remote area in Cedar Grove, Indiana. Within days, the confirmation came that the remains were Markham’s and her death was ruled a homicide. However, the exact cause of death could not be determined. On November 1, 1999, just after 9 p.m., off-duty Dayton Police Officer Kevin Brame parked his car in the driveway and returned his two small children to their home. As he returned to his car, an unknown assailant emerged from a row of hedges near the house and shot him.
On November 1, 1999, just after 9:00 p.m., off-duty Dayton Police Officer Kevin Brame parked his car in the driveway and returned his two small children to their home on Cherry Dr. in Dayton. As Kevin returned to his car, an unknown assailant emerged from a row of hedges near the house and shot him. Kevin was ambushed and never had a chance to defend himself. Linda Dearth, a 13-year-old Northmont Junior High School Student, was found dead by her older brother just before noon in the living room of the family home near Brookville.

Clark County Sheriff’s deputies search the area and found the body of the young boy. He had been strangled.
