BRIEFLY Benefit will raise money for Brame reward DAYTON — Majestic Lounge will host a benefit Monday to raise money toward the $100,000 reward in the 1999 slaying of Dayton police Officer Kevin Brame. The free benefit, 5 to 9 p.m. at 9 S. Halloway St., will feature a jazz band, food donated by Krog- er and a cash bar, owner Dwayne Edwards said. Brame, 31, was off-duty when he was shot to death outside his wife’s home, at 624 Cherry Drive, on Nov. 1. Chief William P. McManus announced last month that the reward had been increased from $25,000 to $100,000 and asked residents and businesses to contribute at any Fifth Third Bank branch.
