Crime Stoppers Reward has grown to $12,500 for information in slaying of officer This weekly series is prepared by Crime Stoppers Inc. in cooperation with area law-enforcement agencies in an effort to solve crimes. Funds for rewards come from donations to Crime Stoppers, a nonprof- it, chartered organization. This week’s featured crime follows: Dayton police, Crime Stoppers and the Brame family are seeking information into the shooting death of Dayton police officer Kevin Brame. There is now a $12,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or per: sons responsible for his death. Just after 9 p.m. Nov. 1, Brame parked his car in the driveway and returned his two small children to their home on Cherry Drive in Dayton. As he returned to his vehicle, an assailant emerged from bushes near the house and shot him. It is still unknown why he was killed. > Anyone with information about these cases or any other crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 222-STOP (222-7867) locally, or toll-free 1-800-637-5735 if calling long-distance. If the information leads to an arrest and indictment, the caller can get up to a $1,000 reward. The telephone is staffed 24 hours a day and callers remain anonymous.
